Timpani Sticks from the Mallet Manufactory NÜNCHERT
Timpani sticks and mallets for concert percussion from the mallet manufactory NÜNCHERT have stood for quality standards at the highest level and at fair prices for more than 20 years.
The products are passionately handcrafted according to individual customer requirements.
Only selected materials of the best quality such as tonkin cane from China, piano felt from a traditional German company as well as the best rattan from Java and precious woods from all over the world are used for xylophone mallets.
The percussion mallets from the mallet manufactory NÜNCHERT are characterised by the often preferred and typically German dark, warm and full sound.
This concept is based on Christoph Nünchert's own experience as a principal timpanist in well-known German cultural orchestras, such as Essen Philharmonic and New Philharmonic Westphalia, as well as the many well-known timpanists and percussionists such as Ernst-Wilhelm Hilgers, Rainer Seegers and Brian Barker.
NÜNCHERT’s products have been valued not only in almost any German ensembles, but also worldwide (Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia).
So far, to the satisfaction of customers, orders have been completed in short time.
We always try to have all models in stock so that you can test them in our shop in Berlin - and if you like - can also purchase them on site. A pair of ADAMS Philharmonic timpani with KALFO heads are available for testing the timpani sticks.
Felt Sticks
The sticks are assorted from small to large heds. All sticks are shipped with sicon grips (see picture above).

Since I first discovered the sticks made by Christoph Nünchert, I have been perpetually impressed not only by the care which goes into the building of each pair, but also the attention which Christoph puts into finding the right sound for the player. Like any serious musicians, he never stops searching for “the sound”, and I have enjoyed our conversations concerning new possibilities very much.
It is a pleasure to play with Nünchert mallets.

The way Christoph Nünchert responds to individual wishes and ideas is extraordinary and therefore a unique selling point. His quality of craftsmanship is nourished by his many years of experience and fits seamlessly into the line of old masters. Outstanding!

I have been playing several models from Christoph Nünchert's range since he began as a mallet maker and developer. Right from the start, I was enthusiastic about the sound, the workmanship and how the timpani sticks feel in my hand.
That's why I can warmly recommend them.

For many years I have been playing almost the entire range of Christoph Nünchert's mallets and I have also developed various models with him, which are now a regular part of his range. In addition, at my request, Christoph built various reversible mallets for me, among other things, which were not only to my satisfaction, but kept me enthusiastic. It was and still is important to me that the mallets are balanced to the nearest gram if possible. This is a Christoph specialty and I had a maximum difference of 1 gram per pair. Most of the time, however, they were perfectly perfect and equal to the milligram.
Christoph Nünchert's colourful range of heads, be it wood, felt or flannel, covers everything I need.
Its price-performance ratio is hard to beat. High quality at affordable prices. It's always nice to talk to Christoph about new ideas, and he takes a place at the top of my favorite mallet makers' squad.

Christoph Nünchert's timpani sticks are very well balanced, have the ideal weight, a great finish and a long service life. Due to the large number of models, we can find timpani mallets for all styles of music with a variety of timbres. I use Christoph Nünchert's timpani sticks and I am very happy with them.

I was first introduced to Nünchert’s mallets about 5 years ago and I now own many pairs from each series. There is such a variety of cores that I can always find the sound that I’m looking for.
The mallets are beautifully made and perfectly matched and balanced. Christoph is a true craftsman. He is also very patient with trying to find the exact pair of mallets that I’m looking for. I started with the TL3, which is still my personal favorite and now I must own about 15 pairs. The LW1 is incredibly unique and useful. There is nothing comparable in the US. My music director always approves when I use this stick!

Christoph Nünchert's timpani mallets are an extremely important part of my mallet repertoire. Especially for use in the orchestra pit, they are an enrichment, versatile and an indispensable part of my mallet holder in everyday life.

I really enjoy playing Christoph Nünchert's mallets: They are perfectly balanced, have a wide variety of fine nuances and are very well made. The new covers are also always made quickly and are very good. I highly recommend them.

For me, Christoph Nünchert's timpani sticks are some of the best drum sticks you can buy at the moment. Workmanship and balance are perfect, and the selection of mallets for operas, concerts or crossovers is diverse. I have numerous models in my mallet collection, and Christoph has rebuilt and tuned many of my old models from my collection and thus breathed new life into them. The sound of the mallets corresponds exactly to my idea of what I want to get out of my instrument.
Christoph's service is also very quick and reliable. New covers can be made within a few days, sometimes hours, and conversions or new buildings can be obtained very quickly.
My life as a solo timpanist is much easier with Christoph's mallets and service, and I can only recommend his products.

Apart from the fact that I like the range of mallets for every instrument, I am also grateful and enthusiastic that Christoph can meet individual wishes and needs when building mallets, which result from special instruments, required playing styles or sound ideas.
